I have always enjoyed reading a good romance suspense novel and wasn’t disappoint with this one! This novel has everything a dramatic action, romance, and a mysterious killer on the loose that kept me on the edge of my chair.
Madeline is “unlucky” in love and has trust issues. When she meets Donovan over a dead body, their romance begins. Madeline finds the body of Frank Johnson while walking on the beach with her dog, and Donovan is one of the first officers on the crime scene. Their romance takes time to blossom as they both address matters from their pasts when they finally realize that they are meant to be together, their better halves.
There are a lot of twists and turns throughout this novel and many characters who were `suspicious’, that keep you guessing, and engaged in the story. With their blossoming romance, and mystery of the murder you can’t become bored with this book.. I really enjoyed reading Crime & Passion. The author brought romance and suspense together perfectly.
