Sandia Mountains New Mexico
I was blessed this past weekend to travel to the Land of Enchantment, New Mexico and celebrate my cousins wedding with her. She was my maid of honor nearly 9 years ago when I walked down the isle and being part of her wedding party was such an honor. She has grown into a lovely woman and has found true love. The entire trip was so much fun, I never wanted for it to end. On Friday she took us Bridesmaids out for some pampering, and then that afternoon I spent some time with my Aunt before the wedding rehearsal. We didn’t have enough time to scan photos again, however, she did give me my Grandma’s Durbin Book and a tin of stuff my Grandma had collected little things from me over the years. On Saturday, we all celebrated her special moment and had so much fun.

I still haven’t had a chance to sit down from returning this weekend to really look through the Durbin book, but did browse through tonight. It was amazing to find typed letters to my Aunt, and Great Grandfather in there dating back to the 1970s. There were emails from my Grandma to Edna( also known as Bubbles) about Henry Durbin. Grandma had all sorts of emails printed and filed away in several filing cabinets. She was always keeping every little piece of correspondence from family. I am looking forward to getting some time to browse through this book soon and preserve it for others in the family.
